Marty, how many watts power did this little rig
run? If no numbers, what was the final tube
and a guess at the battery voltage? Just trying
to get an idea of the range. What does it use
for antenna matching, what kind of adjustable
coil does it have?
Now back to Forest Service radios being
advanced: i haven't seen it, and i would ask:
WHICH Forest Service radios pre-war, or even
post war, were advanced?
Probably Oregon's Dept of Forestry would have
liked the ATT set, but it was probably more
expensive than Radio Specialties Company
products, and besides, we like to throw
business to in-state companies. ( Not totally
unusual, tho; i have seen Humble Co. radios
built in BC for the BC forestry. ) -Hue Miller
