Thanks for all the responses on the phone number for Steve Haney at Haney
Electronics. As with onther mentioned on this list, Steve is a great guy
to deal with. If you need something, it is a good idea to call him first.
Now for another queston. I have in the collection, 3 Hallicrafters that
have I think have military or Embassy ties. One, a TR 20, which is part of
the Vietnam era "Public Safty Radio System, so called Village Radio's, with
this being the base station. I have no information on this set. Two is a
TR-9, 2-12 Mhz in 3 bands, CW and AM, like the GRC 9, but this is solid
state, runs on `12 volts. I have info on this set from BAMA, but
transmitter schematic is missing about in inch where it was copied. Set
Three is a SBT-22, with an external antenna tuner. It runs on 12 volts or
internal D cells. It has crystals for the 6 channels ranging from 3211 to
5907.5. It is CW, USB, LSB, and AM. I have no and can find no information
on this set. Any informaion on the use of the above sets, operating, tune
up, maintiance instructions would really be helpful.
Thanks Group,
Joe Munson
