I heat the can of paint in a pan of hot water in the kitchen sink and then
paint outside. When the outside tempertures are cool I often use a hot air
gun to heat the surface that is to be painted. Apply a heavy coat, let it
set for 20 minutes and then slowly(repeat slowly) heat the surface with the
hot air gun or a heat lamp and you will watch the wrinkle progress across
the surface. Others have constructed a enclosure and made a oven using a
electric heater and "baked the item", I prefer the hot air gun which allows
me to monitor the progress.Allow the surface to dry for a week before using.
Black wrinkle is purchased here on the East Coast from Manny, Moe, and Jack
aka Pep Boys.
