For maximum accuracy if you are interested in duplicating a USAAF AN/ARC-8 (BC-348 (AN/ARR-11) and AN/ART-13A combo), your transmitter should be a USAAF T-47A/ART-13, rather than a USN ATC, ATC-1, or T-47/ART-13. The USAAF's T-47A is slightly improved over the earlier USN units. Main differences are:
(1) Dynamotor control power safety interlock with top cover removal,
(2) VFO dial B vernier scale to allow more precise frequency setting,
(3) Calibration book data in 1 kc intervals in entire range due to presence of (2).

The AN/ARC-8 is my favorite aircraft set from any era, any country. I prefer it over the USN AN/ARC-25 (AN/ARR-15 and AN/ART-13 combo) because of its improved transmitter (T-47A vs. T-47) and the wider frequency coverage (includes LF/MF beacon band) of the receiver (BC-348-Q or -R vs. R-105).
