I had no idea either, Hutch. Last I heard a few years ago on the R390 List
someone thought he had something rather debilitating happen to him. Stroke?
Accident? Nobody really knew at the time.
Can you ask the person(s) who gave you this information to post an update
to the list? I'm sure many here also hang out on, or once had hung out on,
the R390 List on qth.net and saw all the very good technical traffic
between Nolan and the rest of us R390 owners. Instructions on how to
properly gut and dress a deer in a parking lot notwithstanding :-) I
really miss him and his sharp wit. At least the qth.net archives still have
that traffic.

Thanks very much Hutch for the URL of the archived Nolan Lee Redneck Page
website!!! I'm replacing the old, original bookmark in my computer with
this archive.org URL. I would indeed be a great shame to lose all that hard
work Nolan performed and contributed to the greater cause of preserving and
using those tube testers, R390s, and mil radio in general.
Thanks and 73s, Chris F.
