[Milsurplus] mil manufacture code 87304

It depends on the actual manufacturer as to what the date code actually indicates.  However, based on what I have seen this particular code is probably

3rd week of April 1987

The 87 generally means 1987

The 04 indicates the month

The 3 (since it only has a single number) indicates the 3rd week of the month.

If the date code had been like 870304 then it could have been either the 3rd day of April or the 4th day of March depending on what order the day and month were in.

I think CAGE code and manuf code are the same - for example Hallicrafters is in the database as 19244 but CAGE 87304 doesn't look too likely for your switch - but I do seem to have vague memories of Knowlton as a switch manuf?-
