Fellow Listers -
An Up date - Click my heals!
After hitting the Master Oscillator Coils temperature compensating
Gizmos with De-Oxit and Liquid-Wrench and gently pushing at the base of
the pinion bearing the Low Band came into the reach of the Corrector
adjustment range! Seems there was a bit of corrosion in the bearing
joint was not allowing the Gizmos to do their job. I'm not going to
change the resistors as of yet until I can get the knobs loose. To bad
the old owner had penciled in new settings for the cal points. I will
have to gently erase those out of the Calibration book.
The set screws are Allen Hex head.
Suggestions so far:
1: Kroil works better than Liquid Wrench.
2: Another good penetrating agent is PB-Blaster.
Is there a Miniature Air impact wrench?
Thanks for your suggestions
Hutch
