[Milsurplus] Paki troops radio ?

Front page photo of NYT for Sunday 11/23/2008
has photo of Pakistan troops in area of battle
with  Taliban. One soldier carrying a backpack
radio, using handset; however this is quite in the
distance so no hope of certainly identifying radio.
But, reckoning the soldier was 65 inches tall, i 
scaled the long antenna to be 110 inches. The 
antenna seems to be topped with a barely visible
tab or cap. The radio is not a deep long one like
BC-1000 style, rather looks more like PRC-77.
Would this in fact be a PRC-77, with a long 
aerial like that?  I have seen on television before,
Paki troops with a real beat PRC-77.
