Dave,

Earlier, I wrote the following but your ISP said I had a bad reputation and
blocked it:

With reference to the previously mentioned TM 11-273, the cabinet shown at
the link you sent would appear to be SC-D-4054, for installation of SCR-193-D
into Scout Car M3A1. The canvas fly attached to the top is BG-84. CH-60 is a
mirror image, with the BC-191 on the left. CH-60 is 11" wider, 4" taller and 1"
deeper. Although the TM does not say what either box is made of, it does say
that CH-60 has two removable doors and that the hinges are "welded to the
doors".

TM 11-2726 on the 3/4 Ton Command Car calls for SCR-193-Q installed in Chest
CH-153. CH-153 could well be SC-D-4054. The transmitter is on the right and
unlike in CH-60, the vertical partition is not full height. It looks like the
one online that I said was probably SC-D-4054 and therefore is probably CH-153.
It could be wood. In any case, the truck shown online is the 3/4 ton.

I do have an extra original of TM 11-273 if you or the truck owner are
interested. There isn't much in it about installations but it does give the external
dimensions of the chests. And cabling diagrams for the different SCR-193
models.

Neither manual says anything about any external radio battery box. There is
a large terminal box in each installation. However, I guess that if the 1/2
ton was one of the 6 volt models there would have to be another battery. But I
don't know how it would have gotten charged.
