The Tek 545 was a real workhorse for all branches of the military but was obsolete in 1967 when I went to work for Tek. Why resurrect a heavy beast like that unless you want to authenticate a WWII service depot?

There were literally thousands of 545s mfd and some are still in use. They were so relaibe in their time that some of the boys would calibrate thier DME equipment using the timebase which was only rated to +- 10% accuracy. After a few near catastrophes in aircraft landings , they abandoned that use.

Parts are long gone for the 545 although I'm sure a few basements would yield a few.

Try a more modern 2445 whic will do most scope jobs and where to find them? just do a search on used test equipment and look for 100Mhz bandwidth which will do 90% of the jobs on the bench.

As a refinement, a 2230 or 2440, TDS520 or TDS540 will do agreat job as a digital storage scope . You'll think you've died and gone to heaven when you capture that fleeting 1 microsecond pulse you never knew was there.
