AAAAARRRRGGGHH!
All the good stuff is on the mainland, a price I have to pay for
living in Hawaii. Okay, so the plan is to build a fund available to
use by a few of those going to MRCG events, Dayton and other hamfests
with a list of desired items. The process puts a tremendous level of
trust in this community and I'm not real good with trust but I find no
other way to accomplish what I need. While it's probably too late for
this season but it should be good for next year. I'm not entirely
sure how to manage or coordinate what boils down to a clearinghouse
and any suggestions would be wonderful.
In another post, I'll have an updated list of needed equipment with an
second list of items wanted but not in any hurry. I've not seen any
of the equipment in Fair's catalog, though I am composing an email for
Phil, and eBay has not been my friend for these items. (I use BIN
mostly for a variety of reasons, mostly because I'm getting real good
at losing bids of late which is frustrating. I'm sure a number of you
are aware of that frustration.)
In the meantime, a T-19, R-26 & R-27/ARC-5 along with the makings of
an ARC-5 dual transmitter rack (MT-71) all in restorable condition and
a means to cover costs would be absolutely grand.
Best regards,
Michael, WH7HG
