Subject: HF Radio
Nick;
I am Mike Roberts, KF4IWS and I am a retired U.S. Marine.
I had the opportunity to serve in Guantanamo Bay Cuba as
a MARS Radio operator at the Marine Barracks 1985-1988.
I managed to rescue an HF transceiver, pictured below,
headed to the dump. It was operational at the time with
exception, the fine tune did not work. The instruction manual
I have is complete with parts list and diagrams and it indicates
this radio is part of Radio Set AN/URC-58(V).
I do not know if this falls in the 1950's & 1960's era.
I am cleaning house and desire to find a good home for this
radio. If you know of anyone interested in this radio, please let
me know. I am not selling it but giving it away. Please refer
anyone of interest to my AOL address, subject line "HF Radio".
Thanks, Mike Roberts MSGT USMCRet
