John,
Yes and no. The Signal Corps Stock Number is suffixed with the length in
inches. 3E1307A-65 is a common one. The metal band wrapped around the cord will
have CD-307 or CD-307-A stamped on it, along with the length. The length is
usually given (stamped) in inches but I have seen this and other cords where
it was in feet and inches. Sometimes sellers may be smart enough to know this
and give the length but you know how that goes.
Also, there are both CD-307 and CD-307-A (and a later CX-4548/U). AFAIK, the
change to the -A was administrative. I have had them marked both ways and
couldn't see any physical difference. I've explained before the significance of
PL-55 versus PJ-055B.
There are three other cords (besides the CD-604) for use with the HS-30.
CD-604 is Hi-Z Bailout. CD-605 is Hi-Z non-bailout (terminated in PL-55) and
like the CD-307-(*) came in various lengths. CD-933 is Lo-Z Bailout and CD-874
is Lo-Z non-bailout. The Lo-Z cords came with a Junction Box (block) JB-47 in
place of Transformer C-410.
