Um, they're talking about RF current, not DC.  The 1937 manual says
that, with 1250 volts on the plate, the maximum DC grid current is 50
ma but the maximum RF grid current is 7.5 amps in class C RF amp or
oscillator radio telegraphy use.  Wheee!  That's a whole seabag full
of drive for 130 watts out.

This manual also cranks the output frequency for 100% output to 15MCs
with attendant reductions above that.
