There was also a Yardeny-equipped R-27/ARC-5 that, with the spot-tuned
R-26, was used in some TBM installations, and possibly in other
aircraft, completely replacing the ARB. These were used with the ATC
or ART-13 (Navy version) and controlled by a C-287 control box. I
know the receivers exist - Dave has one I'd love to talk him out of
for the TBM installation display I'm building up - and saw a picture
of the installation once with the control box but now I can't find it
which is horridly frustrating.

This is the same setup I'm putting the electrically tuned R-4A/ARR-2
and my ARC-1 in. While it won't be physically accurate (ie, I'm not
putting together a TBM radio deck and operator's position due to
space), it will be electrically as accurate as I can make it.

By the way, my spot-tuned R-26 just says that it's an R-26 so it may
have been a field mod. It is most definitely used, but not abused.

Best regards,

Michael, WH7HG
