I was not around then (shoot, my folks were still in diapers...), but ....

As I understand, most of the military documents (pretty much anything....including manuals, 
tech drawings, battle plans....pretty much anything found that could remotely be called 
military or technical) was packed up and sent back to the Allies for study.....

Understand there was not much left in Germany after the war.

Think the best sources would be US, UK, and Russian intel warehouses.....as much of the 
stuff in the US has never been un-packed, it is still classified, so good luck getting to look at 
any of it......

Understand the same thing happened with stuff captured from Japan....

Know for a fact the are large warehouses full of crates of stuff from WWII at several locations 
in the US full of captured stuff, as well as projects that were abandoned at the end of the war, 
that have never been looked at since. I help move one from one location to another in the 
80's.
