2 years ago, at MRCG 2006, I had a dual BC- 454,and BC-455 setup
running at the campsite.Well, I got a bit of grief from all the guys as
to the sound of my dynamotors. So,at dawn on Saturday, before anyone
else was up,I made a cup of coffee, and then I pulled the dyno's and
removed the end bells.I removed the bearing covers.I then took the
dipstick out of my 1600 cc aircooled VW motor, recently rebuilt and with
an oil change just prior to and in preparation for the 150 mile trip to
San Louis Obispo.I then used the dip stick to apply a drop or two of 30
Wt to each bearing.I closed up all the bearings and end bells and was
then lauded as to the nice smooth purring of the two dyno's.(This is
field expediant and not recomended as maintenance).(But,it works!).
 I love this hobby!
