[Milsurplus] RT-67 question

Let's say you found a point inside the RT-67 FM radio
where you could pick off AM - like off the cathode of a
limiter tube - 
Then:  is the tuning, i mean not selectivity, but actual
tuning rate, too fast to practically manage AM reception?
I have not looked at one of these sets in MANY many 
years. I cannot remember the tuning system - there is
a Mcs. knob and a 100 kcs knob and then? Somehow
the rest is variable or not? Tnx - Hue.
