The AS-2259/GR was apparently originally designed for AN/PRC-47. The base
section screws directly into the bowl insulator of the RT-671. When AN/PRC-74
replaced AN/PRC-47, the newer radio wasn't hefty enough to do this with so they
designed the MX-9313/GR matching unit to sit under the antenna. I have been
looking for one of the matching units for a long time, with no luck. However,
I do have two extra complete AS-2259's available. $125.00 plus shipping.
