[Milsurplus] New things

Hi, folks,

With hope, qth.net will allow this to pass ...

Two things have recently dropped into my lap, figuratively, at least.

The first is a BC-GL-183 BFO. Since I don't have an appropriate
vintage BC-229 for it to go with, I'm probably going to mate it with a
BC-AO-229 and hope no one notices the age difference. I do need at
least a schematic and would prefer a manual if someone might have one
available.

The second is a very interesting cable. It is six feet long and has
fairly conventional A.R.C. 6577 cable-type 8-pin connectors on the
ends. What makes it interesting is that it's fabric covered rather
than shielded or rubber covered which I suspect makes it date to the
original Model K sets. I hope to incorporate it in the displays
intact with a note regarding its age.

An accidental (I intentionally bid low to see where it would go and it
wasn't low enough.) R-174/GRR-5 is headed this way which is cool
because I like that receiver. With them are some other things for the
displays, the Jeep rig and the Noelle-machines. The e-place was nice
to me this month.

BEst regards,

Michael, WH7HG
