My spares box has 7 boxed tubes, several small boxes with caps,coils,1
large box with a large cap,and many paper envelopes with
resistors, caps, etc. per the list on the inside cover. Also, a piece of
newspaper for stuffing dated 1943.
I also added a spare dynamotor I had.I believe each receiver was
supplied with one set of spares.

The base spares list is Table IV in the ARB manual.  But (a) there's no
indication of whether it is supposed to be per receiver, per aircraft,
per squadron, or what, and (b) it doesn't specify how it was to be
packed or packaged.  From the same era and through Korea, I've seen a
few wooden spares boxes and several steel ones.  The ATA/ARA box I once
had was wood as was one for some radar set whose nomenclature I can't
recall.  The TCS and ARD boxes I have are steel, as were the ones for
AN/URA-6.

the box?
