Mike,
Far and away the simplest (and likely the cheapest) thing to do is to run it
off of 6, 12 or 24 VDC. Probably the easiest would be 12, as you can buy a
small boat battery with wing-nut posts and probably the boating supply place
would have a plastic carrying box for it. Then a two-wire cord with appropriate
ring lugs one end, either #14-2 or #12-2 SJO (common black extension cord
material) and the 4-pin right angle plug (same plug as for AC). Connect Minus
(ground) to Pin C and Plus 6/12/24 VDC to Pin B. Be sure that you set the PP-308
front panel voltage select switch for the proper battery voltage.
