Two things: the speaker box is smooth OD (original, not a re-paint),
5.5" cylindrical, 3.25" deep, with removable 5-louver front and
2-threaded-mounting-hole rear covers, grommeted hole out the bottom.
The covers don't appear to have ever have had gaskets, tho there's room
for them. The 4" speaker may not have been original - it was damaged
(transformer ripped off) and not wx-sealed. There's no holes for a
nomen plate, tho it could have been a sticker, as Robt. W. Downs
opines. Should I just assign it a number and put it on ebay?!

The AN/CUP-1 AUXILIARY EQUIP, COFFEE (serial #303) was made by/for
Raytheon (Lexington, Massachusetts), and says it's intended for use
with AN/POT-1. How common are they? The nomen "plate" is unusual in
that its printed on and then enameled over, rather than external. haha
