There were many back in the 1950s-60s. Pretty well all are gone now. The 
last one in Vancouver was Satellite Electronics and he closed a few 
years ago. One of the better ones in the east was W Ford and he closed 
recently. I think Toronto Surplus is one of the remaining but they are 
not cheap. The guvmint still sells surplus vehicles, boots and clothing 
but not much in the way of radio stuff.
