[Milsurplus] Fair Radio Sales - Inflation

Something that always amazes me is the old-time prices of some stuff you just wouldn't
think was that attractive. Like $4.95 or even $10 for an ARR-2; what "conversion" could
justify that in terms of 1950s or early 1960s dollars? And the prices for an ARB back then-
$39.95 sometimes - i suppose you have to look at something like an S-38 to compare, and
see just how little radio your dollar bought. Or another example, the BC-645, which G&G
and maybe others pushed and pushed for years. Remember when G&G had the SCR-583
back then? I wonder how many they sold at $295 ?

Re gas prices: you have to look at the velocity of price change too. And- if it looks like
demand will substantially decrease, or can supply rise to meet demand? Provocative
questions in this case. -Hue K7HUE
