Is that the issue with the mock-TM cover that says "TM-73 Not So Technical
Manual" ? I didn't see the ad but i saw the conversion article in this, with at
least the original schematic. AN/DMQ-something or other, wasn't it?

Sounds like a weird and wonderful sub-niche of the hobby.What's the earliest model you have?
BTW, and this also addresses a post here asking about any CONFIDENTIAL -
level films, there's a war & training movie seller that advertises in militaria
magazines here, i don't recall the name of the firm. When you see their listing
a a couple hundred titles you want to order them all, except that they're 
about $20 each so that's out.
Anyway, they have one DVD of a Navy training film, title is something like
"PBY Sonobuoy Operations".  That sounded pretty interesting to me, but i just
have not gotten around to ordering it myself.
