The two ATC's are connected to a dpdt switch to antennas on top of the fuselage and are referred to as "Red" and "Green". By switching them as needed to separate antennas along with their BC-348 receivers there was in effect two completely in independent systems. Two C-87 control boxes are mounted in the center of the upper canopy. Sorry, I forgot the BC-348 receivers in my previous post.
By the way, other aircraft such as SBD, TBM, PBY which were retrofitted with ATC transmitters also had the LM removed as the ATC oscillator was just as accurate in use - much quicker to use on a set frequency.
