Re established? Not bloody likely, Mate.
It's been made totally obsolete by GPS... which is a HELL of a lot more
accurate for plotting position than measuring phase angles of VLF carriers.
The station at La Moure, ND has been handed over to the US Navy and is
now carrying encrypted RTTY traffic. Ditto the station there in Australia.
I was tuned in for the final transmissions from OMEGA (Collins R-389). I
found it sort of anticlimactic when they pulled the switch 10 minutes early!
