Any Internet list of AN/MRC-20 components that doesn't show R-584/MRC-20 is 
in error.  In other words, typical Internet disinformation.

But AN/310-GM is not the nomenclature of the noise limiter-squelch unit on 
top of the R-584.  The stencil says "AN3106M-16S-1P".  In standard military 
usage dating back to pre-WW-II, this is the nomenclature of the AN connector on 
the squelch unit end of the cable connecting it to the R-584.  The connector on 
the other end will be AN3106M-16S-1S, same except for the M variant as the one 
used on AN/ARR-41.  The only puzzler is why they spent the extra money to use 
the M when the A would have been cheaper and worked just as well.

Anyway, as I've said at least twice already, the manual covering AN/MRC-20 is 
TM 11-692, which I have.  Also in the series are TM 11-692A-1, etc, covering 
the individual radio sets.
