That's actually a BC-AA-191, which doesn't have the built-in
antenna tuner like the later BC-191 or -375.
The box you can barely see to its left and above and
left of the T-17 microphone is the external antenna tuner;
don't remember the nomen at the moment.  
There's a spare one stowed under the table on it's side.
Wonder if they failed a lot in flight?

The box under the SCR-183, at the back of 
the operator's table with the large, graduated center knob and
two smaller knobs is an external oscillator, which is feed into the
antenna of the BC-229 receiver to provide a "BFO"
for CW reception- no kidding.  I have one here.
