Yep, yep. Not too many pictures show this so nicely.

The SCR-240 was a whole 'nother kettle of worms, a channelized set
(transmit and receive) built by Westinghouse(?). On the other hand,
the receiver on the right's antenna seems to go through, not parallel
with, the box next to it which itself has a case that resembles a
mirror image receiver or a kitbashed SCR-A*-183 transmitter &
receiver. An early frequency converter?
Just to add to the fun, while both receivers have local control knobs,
there is a coffee grinder under the shelf holding the set on the left
which implies yet another receiver somewhere aboard.
There certainly are plenty of SCR-A*-183 tuning units under the desk
and that big box to the left of it is undeniably a BC-191 of some
stripe.
Hue, I think you're right about the freq meter. It's definitely not a
BC-221 predecessor though. Its power supply may be one of the boxes
under the desk to the right.
*sigh* ... Yet another mystery for The Book.
