When i was looking at the handcrank gens for the 102E
set, Ken pointed out the kind of blemished finish on the
paint on the generator. He said he could clean it up but
it would be a lot of work. He said it was due to the wrapping
paper being put around the generator while the paint was 
still wet. I asked him how could someone be so stupid. His
reply, was that he guessed the gear was produced during
the Cultural Revolution, and work ethic and morale were 
way down. Gotta make those quotas, that's the important
