[Milsurplus] Correct wire

Has anyone found a source for the proper, authentic wire for making
cables for WW II USAAF or Navy gear? I have numbers, but they appear to
reference manufacturer's drawings (Bendix, RCA, etc.) which are long
gone.

Also, does anyone have a source for the varnished Cambric tubing,
roughly 1/8" diameter, for insulating the wires on the back side of
connectors?
