Todd,

The B40 is an excellent receiver considering it's single conversion.
It's sensitive, stable and the front end is bomb-proof. The dial is
unique and a pleasure to "bandcruise" or just set and forget.
I have the D model, which I found on ebay about 4 years ago and it
didn't cost me an arm and a leg, in fact it was very reasonable.
Shipping from the UK cost me almost as much as the price, but even
adding it to the purchase price the total is still not over the
reasonable range for a 50's/60's vintage boatanchor.
Mine was practically unused, came with all the connectors and the
original shock mount.
A friend of mine liked it after he saw mine, and I found him another
on ebay, he got it since and takes center stage in his boatanchor
station.

Just keep looking, they're out there...
