Hi Jeff,
Cogratulations on your "Free Time".You are one lucky guy!
Well, for grins I monitored WWV and WWVH and actually observed the one
second insertion.I had previously set my trusty Timex which has the
"hack" feature and thus when the extra second was inserted my watch is
now one second ahead.Interestingly my two "atomic" clocks had differnt
results. The older one did not update (and it seems to not have updated
in a while as it is 8 seconds behind the times) but the new one which
was an AMEX "give away for postage and handling" updated right on time
if you'll forgive the cliche.
Enjoy your free time and maybe your family will bless you with more in
2009!

PS Please tell your Marines that there are plenty of folks on the home
front doing there best to supply the best to the best.

Subject: [Milsurplus] RE: Free Time
Greetings All,
First A Happy and Healthy New Year to ALL. As for the free tine,
as a Christmas gift to Dear Old Dad the family has given me seven ( 7
)whole days to work in the Shop/Shack. I am having a blast, gotten to
finish up on some long overdo project, clean the work( Yea I know what
clean up !!! ) bench and spend some time work special event stations.
So
it's been a nice ending to a fair year. But I will be looking forward to
a the discussions and advise from the reflector this coming year.
