Subject: [Milsurplus] US mil-surplus overseas, cont'd
I have seen SSB handheld radios made by Northern Radio for the Philippine police or military
near the end of Northern Radio's ( NRC of Seattle, that is; way different from E Coast mfgr
of TTY accessories ) in the late 1980s.
------------------
Sure wish I could have one!!! Or even see one.
Some of Northern Radio's stuff was actually just branded by them, made buy somebody else.
The only HF/SSB hand held not of Ham origin that I have ever heard of was listed in Janes as follows:
CR 10H/WP
2-30mc 2ch 15w hand-held ssb transceiver.
It was supposedly marketed by International Telecom Systems, Foster City Ca.
But possibly made by CR Electronics(CR/10H/WP).
Ever hear of, or see one of those?
