The ATB is less common because, well, fewer
were produced than apparently, many other
model equipments. Frederick Chesson quoted
an RCA internal publication citing something like
some four thousands versus for the ARB, its
nominal matching receiver, something like 17,000,
or was it 23,000 ? Anyway the ARB was a mulitple
more. Jack Antonio has one, Mike has one or two,
some other list member also, and i also. So not
really so rare. From G&G at one time you could buy
the whole ARB, ATB thing new, but not for a price
that was reasonable to any ham of the time. I think
i bought about the last 2 from G&G around, 1982 ?
*( IIRC, AWA Bulletin "may" have had the exact
production numbers from Chesson )
