[Milsurplus] tubes - how to check calibration of a tube tester?

Any one -

I have read that a new or good 6L6 is the tube to use to check 
calibration of a tube tester?
If the above is  not acceptable then what?
Have a TV2-C/U and I-77B tube testers.
