[Milsurplus] Info on Pre-WW2 BC-307A transmitter needed (OOPS, previous message went out with the wrong subject)

I wonder whether anyone may have any information on a pre-WW2 US Signal
Corps HF transmitter, ID plate says BC-307A , with contract date 1936. The
manufacturer is General Electric. It's about the size of a BC-191, and the
final tube is a VT-62. Google'ing didn't fetch any results.
My friend, K1VVC picked it up this weekend at a hamfest and would like to
have more information on it.
