John,

Congratulations! What version of the Eddy 830 did you get?
I have an 830/4, which was contracted for the Canadian Government  
(mine is ex Ministry of Transportation).
Besides its being a very nice looking receiver, it's also a great  
performing, stable and sensitive receiver, with good selectivity and  
nice audio.
I like the big slide-rule dial.
Unfortunately I have no spare knobs for it, but as far as i know,  
there is a fairly good size Eddystone users mailing list in the UK.  
Conceivable that someone may have a knob for you.
