Ah, yes. The Head family. I know them well. A branch of them
refuses to ship to Hawaii.
First, Hawaii IS part of the US so customs paperwork isn't necessary.
Second, UPS Ground really exists between there and here and gets here
as fast as 2nd day as often as not. Third, USPS flat rate boxes are
the same rate here and, yes, you can still load them up as much as
possible even to Hawaii. Fourth, it costs the same to pack a box for
Hawaii as it does for Nebraska so you don't have to tack on extra
handling charges for us. Or Alaska, for that matter, which also
happens to be part of the US.
With that, we're also very much aware of the cost of shipping here and
paying $50 for an item that weighs a couple of pounds is well outside
the realm of acceptability. And, no, that's not even UPS 2nd day or
USPS Express.
Robert, a .303 may be a bit much. A .22 head shot is effective and
inexpensive. The round pretty much disintegrates on entry and makes
messy in a oneway sort of manner. It's pretty effective.
Best regards,
Michael, WH7HG
