Yes, yes... Seems that is not EXACTLY the same... at
least for now! However its just takes, one step at a
time, to finally bring you were you want to be!
Well probably you missed the point of all this. Is not
about Paypal or not! Is about WHO decides HOW the
listing I or maybe sometime later even you, should be
paid!
I've put some items to Ebay, and always decide if I
will accept Paypal (that is selected for the most
cases for international listings), and when I wil not
accept that way of payment (mostly on items that the
requested price is high and believe me, the Paypal
fees that applies also for the amount paid for
shipping cost, are a real KILLER when added on top of
the selling listing Ebay fees)! Did you know that
payment by other methods you could gain even up to -7%
on some high value items? I guess you don't like much
to keep you total cost as a buyer as low as possible,
and you even sending a tip to the seller to get it :)
As I see it, and maybe I'm wrong but its my personal
oppinion however, the seller pay fees to "rent" a
place for listing his goods infront of a market.
System provides the place and rents the specific time
for listing for a specific amount. It will also get an
extra profit out of the selling price if the item
sells in time! The seller is responsible for all the
necessary transactions between him and the buyer. He
will have to pay any extra cost for, say, undelivered
returned items, broken items, lost items, and even
scam buyers that they use pay pal also with much
success (believe me on that) by making falls claiming
of their money if you will ship them without a proof
of delivery coming only from the companies that they
accepts!
To make it simplier! You decide to build a store for
example, and to do so you rent a place at the main
street of your town. You pay the rent by the month,
week, etc. and you're start putting your goods inside
it in the frontstore window for people passing by to
see them, come inside, and buy them if they agreed at
price and YOUR, THE SELLER OF THE SPECIFIC ITEM,
payment methods. Now, have you ever heard or even find
it logical, that those who have rent you the store,
place, etc. will forced to you accept to be paid for
YOUR ITEMS/PROPERTY with their selected ways ie.
accepting instead of cash and CC or your prefered
method to primarly accept also bananas ? :)
You will agree with them, don't you? :)))
But hey! Isn't the seller who have to set his payment
methods? If I do like to take CC directly it's my
oppinion and aslo my problem if buyers don't accept o
buy my items by pauying with them. And about
"protection, well, the CC have more protection methods
for buyers than PP. CC frauds are going all the way to
an criminal international investigation and they do
give results sooner or later! The buyer is protected
if he reports the problem he has up to 20 days after
CC invoice! So what is the upgraded protection of...
other methods? Only that you haven't provide the CC
data to someone you don't know? And I guess when
you're giving your CC to be charged at the mall, the
gas station, the restaurant, you have first take
photos and full "passport level" data from the persons
who handles it! Yeahhh...
If a seller doeasn't like to accept CC ts his choice,
and he can't forced you to by from him with cash! If a
seller accepts only Paypal and you don't wan't to pay
thru it, or you don't have or don't wnat to have an
account with it, he also can't forced you to pay thru
it! If a seller wants to accept only cash bank
deposit, why in the hell you or whoever else want to
force him to accept another method to sell HIS
PROPERTY / ITEM? If you don't like his rules for
payment ways, or you don't trust him at all, or you
don't have cash, or you don't have time to go to thru
the bank teller, then just DON'T BUY FROM HIM! Is
thaaaaaaaat simple!
Forcing him to accept your way for payment (or a way
that the for HIS ITEM, at least looks like a
"cosanostra" way of doing business!
