Provided that the keying relay contact sequencing is correctly set, BC-375 
chirp is primarily a function of power supply regulation.   When running off a 
dynamotor the chirp is minimal on 75 and 160M and I don't believe receiving on 
a BC-348 with the xtal filter on would be/have been a problem.   Of course, we 
don't know what kind of receivers might have been used back at the receiving 
base end.

On 375 FMing, this can be virtually eliminated by over-neutralizing slightly 
as I have described several times on this forum.
