A few years back when the movie 'Wind Talkers' was playing , I set up a
display of WW2 radios in the local Library. The library had available 2
large glass enclosed display cases for use by groups or individuals to
display local historical items of interest or crafts. Anyway I set up a
display showing the TBY , BC 1306 , BC 611 and the BC 1000. I had
written up a brief story on the code talkers and made a large copy of
it so it was easy to read and with copies of photos of the gear as used
in the war as a back drop. Did the same with the other pieces of gear.
The response to the display was very good , in that they had never had
so much interest in a display.

So while there was no knob twittling or any radio chatter , just a
static display , people where still interested.
