Tested the TCS-8 TX last night by feeding the shield and center conductor (as W7QHO suggested) of co-ax out to a 5/8 wave 6m J-pole and it appears to be working like a champ! Doubled my apparent output. These are the settings I used at max output.
TX Settings for 3580 kc CW (hope I didn't step on anyone!)
D - Coupling 6.5
E - Plate Tuning 4.3
F - Series
G - Ant Load 3.2

Indicated Output:
Ant. Current: 1.15 A
CW/Phone Plate Current: 100/75 mA at resonance
Watts output (RMS) CW/Phone: 45/25W using Yaesu RS-2000 SWR/Wattmeter. My manual (for a Hamilton Radio TCS-13) says 20W CW. Is 45 reasonable for a Stewart Warner TCS-8?

This station will be on the air most of 24 hours October 13-14, 2007 operating from the LCI(L) 1091 radio room starting at Noon PST as I mentioned before. Hope to work some of you then!
PS: Any leads/recommendations for a workable mic?
Cheers and good DX!
