[Milsurplus] ZA questions

I'm starting to collect the bits and pieces toward the
Navy's early war ZA ILS system, and have come up with a
couple questions.

First, was the system ever actually used operationally?

Two, it appears that the localizer was similar to
a 4 course radio range, but using 90 and 150 cycles instead
of the A N signals. So, what frequencies were used for this
system? This part (localizer) used an RU as the receiver, so
I'm assuming the frequencies were typical radio range frequencies
in the 200 to 500 kc range, is this correct?

Third, anyone have a book on the YB system? This was
the ground based component of this ILS system.

Thanks
