It really is a sweet working receiver, although many folks have had
power supply vibrator issues. Mine came with some spares, one of which
is dissected, seeming to indicate a previous failure. Basically, it's
just a cool chunk of radio in a small package. The reverse-tuning
dial, the presets, the accessories, the ability to work from several
power sources....the gadget factor is quite high, and they do look
good all decked out and set up with a tall whip. Mine goes to hamfests
and other events to be set up by the vehicle when during relaxation
periods. A morale receiver of sorts.

A word of warning to the uninitiated: don't let the size fool you.
It's small, but expecting to pick it up easily is akin to attempting
to sling a block of granite. Very dense!
