Huh?  Where did that come from?

I neither can nor will speak for others but this is one veteran (Nam
era, 100% disabled) who hates war but would love to see more memorials
like Battleship Cove built.  According to your apparent concept, to
honor our dead and wounded is to love war.  To me, it's a reason to
hesitate before plunging into war thus creating more dead and wounded.
 It's a visual reminder of the horrors and wastefulness of war, and
should not be swept under any rugs or otherwise taken out of sight
because it disturbs the sensitivies of those who would prefer we
forget our history & heritage.

I'd say more but ... well, that's a soapbox you [all inclusive plural]
do NOT want me on.
