Another point, just MHO on the ' bashing Japanese ' equipment.  Radios are 
far out of my area of  intimate knowledge, but if the US military is today using 
some Japanese-built electronics, 60 years in the future I would make the same 
argument if someone had NO Japanese electronics in an Operation Iraqi Freedom 
historical display.  In my view, historical displays and teaching of history 
should just be TRUE to the time and equipment used.  Otherwise, as another 
poster stated, it's just an MTV/Hollywood fake view.  I suppose we should expect 
that from the ' entertainment ' industry, but from guys such as are on this 
forum, and the ones running the museums and ships, etc ( The EXPERTS ),  more 
historical accuracy should be expected and demanded, even among ourselves.
