[Milsurplus] SCR-274 spline seen on "That Place"

Some fellow was telling me the movie "PT-109" about Jack Kennedy's
South Pacific adventures in the PT force, has a scene with a handcrank
generator, and (this fellow's terms) "a standard US field radio".  Has 
someone here seen this movie, if so, what radio appeared? The radio
was being used by a coastwatcher type to arrange for rescue pickup of
the PT crew. - Hue Miller
